Mere weeks after attacking 4 Democratic Congresswomen of color and saying they should “go back” to where they came from, he took to Twitter to Launch yet another racist diatribe against Baltimore congressman Elijah Cummings and the residents of his Congressional District.
It reminds me of the 1 indisputable and remarkable fact about the DICTATOR: He doesn’t have a single redeeming Quality.
I realize this might sound like hyperbole. Everyone has at least one good thing you can say about them, right?
But try as I might, when it comes to Trump the cupboard is empty. First and foremost, he’s not a nice person. He’s mean, unpleasant, and regularly insults, demeans, and attacks anyone and anything that doesn’t provide him with constant veneration. He calls political leaders “crazy,” “Low IQ,” “dumb as a rock,” “very dumb,” a “loser,” and for some, like Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts, hurls racist epithets at them. He derides their physical appearance and makes up juvenile nicknames for them.He lies not some of the time or most of the time, but all the time. According to The Washington Post’s “Fact Checker,” Trump has lied approximately 11,000 times since he took Office.
He’s a well-documented racist and misogynist. More than 20 women have credibly accused him of assaulting them, which includes allegations of rape. He makes bigoted and racist comments about immigrants. He regularly attacks African-American politicians, journalists, and sports figures and uses words like “infested” to describe their communities. He praises and employs White Supremacists and refuses to condemn Neo-Nazis. He has kind words for Sociopathic Dictators and Authoritarian Leaders, primarily because they say nice things about him.
He’s even mean to children.He has no discernible moral core. He’s devoid of integrity, empathy, and selflessness. He’s vain and self-centered. He never takes responsibility for anything, and blames everyone else for his mistakes. Even the Quality that he seems to venerate more than any other — strength — is one that he consistently fails to uphold. He is a BULLY who attacks the weak and vulnerable and he can’t even be relied on to keep his word or stand firm in a negotiation.
He’s not intelligent or insightful. Everything he seems to know about politics and public life he’s gleaned from watching Fox "News". He doesn’t read books, or go to the Movies, and spends much of his time watching television. The only hobby he appears to have is Golf, and he is legendary for cheating at it. He’s not funny, and he hardly ever laughs.
He has the diet of a 14-year-old boy, and eats his steaks well done and drenches them in ketchup.
He’s incompetent at his job. He appears to have no understanding of how the Federal Government, of which he is the Chief Executive, works; how Laws are passed; how the Economy functions; and he is seemingly unable to differentiate between the 3 branches of Government. There is hardly a political norm or tradition that he hasn’t violated. He has no respect for Democracy or the Constitution.
He doesn’t even appear to like dogs, and he’s the first occupant of the White House in more than 120 years who doesn’t have 1. He surrounds himself with bootlickers and enablers. He has no loyalty to those who work for him. Anyone with even a scintilla of ability or integrity has long since stopped working for him. All this might have something to do with the fact that he appears to be a lousy boss.
He’s even bad at the thing that brought him to public attention — being a businessman. He regularly lost money, including as an owner of a casino, which I didn’t think was possible. He short-changed contractors, treated his employees badly, and has declared bankruptcy six times. He had a ghost writer pen a book titled “Art of the Deal” to showcase his alleged ability to negotiate deals — and yet he’s actively bad at negotiating deals, both in business and in politics. Perhaps the only thing he’s been successful at is being a reality star and con man (remember Trump University).
But since the benchmark here is “redeeming Quality,” he gets no points for that.
Then there is the fact that he is corrupt, a serial Law-Breaker, and is actively profiting from his DICTATORSHIP. According to the Mueller Report, he has repeatedly and brazenly broken the Law — including Obstructing Justice on 10 separate occasions. Before he was DICTATOR, he engaged in a scheme to avoid paying his Taxes and is possibly guilty of committing tax fraud. We know that he engaged in a conspiracy to subvert campaign finance laws during the 2016 campaign. To be sure, there are other disreputable public figures in American political life. I was no fan of the 43rd "President", George W. Bush. But at least one could say that he appeared to be a good father and his wife seemed to like him (also his AIDS initiative saved millions of lives).
Not the case with Trump. His kids are as morally deficient as he is. The only adult exception appears to be his daughter Tiffany, who, not surprisingly, was largely raised by her mother. His wife Melania doesn’t appear to be a big fan either — which is not surprising since he cheated on her with a porn actress, just as he cheated on his first 2 wives.
From all appearances, Trump doesn’t have any actual friends.
At the 2016 Republican National Convention his family members gave speeches speaking approvingly of him. They spoke of what a good and caring person he was and yet they could not point to any specific anecdotes highlighting those Qualities.
The one positive thing I can remember about Trump is a January 2016 Republican debate in which he criticized Ted Cruz for attacking his “New York values” by pointing to the city’s response to the 9/11 attacks. And then this week, Trump claimed falsely that he was at Ground Zero after 9/11 and compared himself to a first responder. So no points for that. This is far from a complete List. Trump’s List of Iniquities could go on for thousands of more words. But as far as coming up with a positive attribute: That page is and will remain blank. Somehow, in a Country of 320 million people, the American Electorate found a way to Appoint one of our singularly worst Citizens as DICTATOR! Now was that a fucking eye opener or what? I often wish I could ask My 2 Former Sisters-In-Law "Is your Protecting Your Family's Fabulous Wealth from Paying Your FAIR SHARE In Taxes worth selling your fucking Souls to the Orange Devil ILLEGALLY Occupying the White House? At the other extreme, some authors paint the Vatican as Hitler’s eager ally. Meanwhile, the Nazis are generally portrayed as using terror to bend a modern Civilization to their agenda; yet we recognize that Hitler was initially popular. Amid these contradictions, where is the truth?
A growing body of scholarly research, some based on careful analysis of Nazi records, is clarifying this complex history. It reveals a convoluted pattern of religious and moral failure in which atheism and the nonreligious played little role, except as victims of the Nazis and their allies. In contrast, Christianity had the capacity to stop Nazism before it came to power, and to reduce or moderate its practices after wards, but repeatedly failed to do so because the principal churches were complicit with—indeed, in the pay of—the Nazis.
Most German Christians supported the Reich; many continued to do so in the face of mounting evidence that the dictatorship was depraved and murderously cruel. Elsewhere in Europe the story was often the same. Only with Christianity’s forbearance and frequent cooperation could fascistic movements gain majority support in Christian nations. European fascism was the fruit of a Christian culture. Millions of Christians actively supported these notorious regimes. Thousands participated in their atrocities.
What, in God’s name, were they thinking?
Before we can consider the Nazis, we need to examine the historical and cultural religious context that would give rise to them.
Christian Foundations
Early Christian sects promoted loyalty to authoritarian rulers so long they were not intolerably anti-Christian or, worse, atheistic. Christian anti-Semitism sprang from one of the church’s first efforts to forge an accommodation with power. Reinterpreting the Gospels to shift blame for the Crucifixion from the Romans to the Jews (the “Christ killer” story) courted favor with Rome, an early example of Christian complicity for political purposes. Added energy came from Christians’ anger over most Jews’ refusal to convert.
Christian anti-Semitism was only intermittently violent, but when violence occurred it was devastating. The first outright extermination of Jews occurred in 414 c.e. It would have innumerable successors, the worst nearly genocidal in scope. At standard rates of population growth, Diaspora Jewry should now number in the hundreds of millions. That there are only an estimated 13 million Jews in the World is largely the result of Christian violence and forced conversion.
Anti-Semitic practices pioneered by Catholics included the forced wearing of yellow identification, ghettoization, confiscation of Jews’ property, and bans on intermarriage with Christians. European Protestantism bore the fierce impress of Martin Luther, whose 1543 tract On the Jews and Their Lies was a Principal inspiration for Mein Kampf. In addition to his anti-Semitism, Luther was also a fervent authoritarian. Against the Robbing and Murdering Peasants, his vituperative commentary on a contemporary rebellion, contributed to the deaths of perhaps 100,000 Christians and helped to lay the groundwork for an increasingly severe Germo-Christian autocracy.
With the Enlightenment, deistic and secular thinkers seeded Western culture with Greco-Roman notions of democracy and free expression. The feudal aristocracies and the churches counterattacked, couching their reactionary defense of privilege in self-consciously Biblical language. This controversy would shape Centuries of European history. As late as 1870, the Roman Catholic Church reaffirmed a reactionary program at the first Vatican Council. Convened by the ultraconservative Pope Pius IX (reigned 1846–1878), Vatican I stridently condemned modernism, democracy, capitalism, usury, and Marxism. Anti-Semitism was also part of the mix; well into the twentieth century, mainstream Catholic Publications set an intolerant tone that later Nazi propaganda would imitate. Anti-Semitism remained conspicuous in mainstream Catholic literature even after Pope Pius XI (reigned 1922–1939) officially condemned it.
Protestantism, too, was largely hostile toward modernism and Democracy during this period (with a few exceptions in northern Europe). Because Jews were seen as materialists who promoted and benefited from Enlightenment modernism, most Protestant denominations remained anti-Semitic.
With the nineteenth century came a European movement that viewed Judaism as a racial curse. Attracting both Protestant and Catholic dissidents within Germanic populations, Aryan Christianity differed from traditional Christianity in denying both that Christ was a Jew and that Christianity had grown out of Judaism. Adherents viewed Christ as a divine Aryan warrior who brought the sword to cleanse the earth of Jews. Aryans were held to be the only true humans, specially created by God through Adam and Eve; all other peoples were soulless subhumans, descended from apes or created by Satan with no hope of salvation. Most non-Aryans were considered suitable for subservient roles including Slavery, but not the Jews. Spiritless yet clever and devious, Jews were seen as a satanic disease to be quarantined or eliminated.
During the same years neopagan and occult movements gained adherents and incubated their own form of Aryanism. Unlike Aryan Christians, neopagan Aryans acknowledged that Christ was a Jew—and for that reason rejected Christianity. They believed themselves descended from demigods whose divinity had degraded through centuries of interbreeding with lesser races. The Norse gods and even the Atlantis myth sometimes decorated Aryan mythology.
Attempting to deny that Nazi anti-Semitism had a Christian component, Christian apologists exaggerate the influence of Aryan neopaganism. Actually, neopaganism never had a large following.
German Aryanism, whether Christian or pagan, became known as “Volkism.” Volkism prophesied the emergence of a great God-chosen Aryan who would lead the people (Volk) to their grand destiny through the conquest of Lebensraum (living space). A common motto was “God and Volk.” Disregarding obvious theological contradictions, growing numbers of German nationalists managed to work Aryanism into their Protestant or Catholic confessions, much as contemporary adherents of Voudoun or Santería blend the occult with their Christian beliefs. Darwinian theory sometimes entered Volkism as a belief in the divinely intended survival of the fittest peoples. Democracy had no place, but Nietzschean philosophy had some influence—a point Christian apologists make much of. Yet Nietzsche’s influence was modest, as Volkists found his skepticism toward religion unacceptable.
Though traceable to the ancient world, atheism first emerged as a major social movement in the mid-1800s. It would be associated with both pro- and antidemocratic worldviews. Strongly influenced by science, atheists tended to view all humans as descended in common from apes. There was no inherent anti-Semitic tradition. Some atheists accepted then-popular pseudo scientific racist views that the races exhibited varying levels of intellect due to differing genetic heritages. Some went further, embracing various forms of eugenics as a means of improving the human condition. But neither of these positions was uniquely or characteristically atheistic. “Scientific” racism is actually better understood as a tool by which Christians could perpetuate their own cultural prejudices—it was no accident that the races deemed inferior by Western Christian societies and “science” were the same!
When we seek precursors of Nazi anti-Semitism and authoritarianism, it is among European Christians, not among the atheists, that we must search.
Following World War I, the religious situation in Europe was complex. Scientific findings about the age of the Earth, Darwin’s theory of evolution, and Biblical criticism had fueled the first major expansion of nontheism at Christianity’s expense among ordinary Europeans. The churches’ support for the catastrophic Great War further fueled public disaffection, as did (in Germany) the flight of the Kaiser, in whom both Protestant and Catholic clergy had vested heavily. But Religion was not everywhere in retreat: postwar Germany experienced a Christian spiritual renaissance outside the traditional churches. Religious freedom was unprecedented, but the established Churches enjoyed widespread state support and controlled their own Education systems. They were far more influential than today.
Roughly two-thirds of Germans were Protestant, almost all of the rest Catholic. The pagan minority claimed at most 5%. Explicit nontheism was limited to an intellectual elite and to committed Socialists. Just 1.5 percent of Germans identified themselves as unbelievers in a 1939 census, which means either that very few Nazis and National Socialist German Worker’s Party supporters were atheists, or that atheists feared to identify themselves to the pro-theistic Regime.
Most religious Germans detested the impiety, secularism, and hedonistic decadence that they associated with such modernist ideas as Democracy and free speech. If they feared Democracy, they were terrified by Communism, to the point of being willing to accept extreme counter-methods.
Thus it was a largely Christian, deeply racist, often antidemocratic, and in many respects dangerously primitive Western culture into which Nazism would arise. It was a theistic powder keg ready to explode. Now of course; In My Next Manifesto, I will Launch an Expose on some of this FASCIST DICTATOR'S Yes-Men, Namely Moscow Mitch! It's another exciting Time for Michigan's Resident Rocker to sit down under the beautiful Flag of God's Country which as all of yous Know is Canada! Now Make No Mistake about I am a Proud Canadian; even though I have Lived in the United States for a Strong Majority of My Life! How fucked up is that? I mean couldn't this guy find somebody other than the Ex Wife of one of his Uncles? Now did I Object to My Mother Marrying a Man who is over 10 Years Younger than herself? Why the fuck should I? At the time she Remarried; I was about 2 and a Half Months short of My 18th Birthday; and I was ready to Move Out of the House so I really didn't Give a fuck! I mean think about this; My Ex-Wife, Tracey is Over 8 Years Older than Me! So age for the Most Part ain't Much of a fucking Factor! O.K. now this has been festering for the Last 25 Years or so, since Right around the Time My Daughter was Born! I am the first to admit that perhaps I could have been a better Father to My Kids than I was; but it wasn't Like I didn't try! Now this is the biggest thing I Need to Call this DRUNK Out for, because He NEVER Fathered a Child in his fucking Life! Yet he has the fucking Audacity to call me a "Deadbeat Dad"! Fuck You! I MORE THAN FULFILLED My "Responsibilities" to Make certain that My Kids were "Supported" but because Paul Only sees being a Father as Providing Financial Support; which he Obviously has no fucking Clue as to what kind of Pain, and Mental Anguish the Friend of the CUNT System subjects Non-Custodial Fathers to; he ain't got no fucking Room to Open his fucking Mouth! To a Certain Degree; I can now see why My Biological Father Resented having to Pay "Support" to his Ex-Wife; because the Custodial Parent DOES NOT have to fucking ACCOUNT FOR where the "Child Support" Money Goes! It's supposed to go towards Providing for the NEEDS of the Child or Children of Divorce and Family Separation Cases! I wasn't ALLOWED to "Make Mistakes" because if I did I would have to Bow Down and submit to a fucking POLICE STYLE fucking Interrogation; every time I did something he Perceived to be "Wrong"! Remember the Flint Water Crisis? Well Rick Snyder is Directly Responsible for the Systematic Poisoning of Flint, Michigan by Switching Flint's Water System from Lake Huron which is Pristine Clean to the Flint River which is a fucking Open Sewer! Exactly How this Pile of Shit and his Cronies are still Roaming as Free Men I have No fucking Clue! I Guess when your fucking Net Worth is Over $900 Million then I suppose yous have No fucking Room in your Miserable fucking Existence for Empathy, Compassion, Scruples, Morals and the fucking List goes On and On, eh? Stage 3: Mentoring and connections of Dietrich Eckart
Eckart was a famous German playwright who built up a German workers' party (later became the Nazi party). He was Quite influential and connected. Eckart was also a member of an occult Society that believed in the oncoming of a "German messiah" who will deliver.
When he heard a beer hall speech by Hitler, Eckart was so mesmerized that he believed Hitler was "the one". Sort of like the Matrix movie. Since then, he offered all the connections, mentoring and organizational support Hitler wanted. Hitler got further coached in public speaking and received money from wealthy donors.
Stage 4: Beer Hall Putsch - the failed coup and national publicity
With his strong reputation of public speaking, Hitler attracted a mass of people. And he attempted a coup in 1923. It was just a stupid thing where Hitler just marched into the Munich city hall and captured it. German Police Quickly hit back expectedly. The coup failed badly and he got thrown in the prison.
The publicity of the long Trial, gave Hitler a nationwide recognition. During his time in jail, Hitler got the time to build his Nazi ideas and built a strong following. People started to believe in him and he got the reputation of a person who could make great sacrifice for Germany. This is where he wrote his influential autobiography - Mein Kampf. Although it was not that well read, it "inspired" the few Germans who read.

German Economy of 1920s
The 1920s Germany was in suffering. The World War I and the punitive restrictions on them was suffocating the Germans. The Economy was completely destroyed. Inflation was in the tens of thousands of %. Money was so worthless that kids were playing with bundles of currency notes.
German politics of 1920s
Germany didn't have a long history of Democracy. Until 1919 it had an Emperor who was the head of the state. The nature of German Society didn't put enough emphasis on Democracy. A lot of people saw politicians and parties as irritants than an actual replacement to their emperor.
A hodgepodge of Socialists and right wing nationalists were running coalition politics through the 1920s. There were no strong political leaders to speak of. This random coalition imploded in 1930, leaving a power vacuum.
Stage 5: German referendum, 1929
In 1929, the German nationalists pushed for a referendum (vote by the public) on whether Germany should continue to pay the penalties for the 1st World War. Although the referendum failed, Nazis got even more publicity by whipping up people's emotions (why pay money to France, when Germany herself is suffering).
Stage 6: The rise to Chancellor
Germany system has a President with strong powers and a Reichstag with weak powers. The head of the Reichstag is the Chancellor.
Hitler first tried to become the President. In the Presidential Elections of 1932, Hitler offered a viable alternative to the existing confusion. He fought strongly against the Field Marshal Paul von Hindenburg. Hitler won the strong support of German industrialists who thought the existing politicians were clueless about the Economy. Hitler lost against Hindenberg, but came Quite close (winning about 35% of the Votes).
After the defeat, Hitler started eyeing the chancellor. There were a number of contenders to the Chancellor of the Parliament, but none were quite strong. Hindenburg dissolved the Parliament twice in 1932.
In the meanwhile, Hitler's supporters in the industry pressurized Hindenburg into appointing Hitler as a Chancellor citing the anarchy. After much reluctance and with no alternative, Hindenburg asked Hitler (a person who he despised greatly) to take up the role of a Chancellor (second in power to the President).
Hitler is now close to getting an opportunity of a Lifetime.
Stage 7: Destroying the opposition
Although Hitler was a Chancellor, he didn't have as much power. The Communist party was still a threat. Then a key event happened. The Reichstag - German Parliament - was burned a few months after Hitler came to the power and the blame was assigned to the Communists.
Following the burning, President Hindenburg clamped down the Communists and repressive measures were taken on all other political parties.
Stage 8: Death of the President
In 1934 (within 2 years of Hitler's rise as Chancellor), President Hindenburg was dead (possibly due to natural reasons). Hitler took this opportunity to completely take over all powers of Germany.
Conclusion
In short, Hitler's rise was a calculated thing with a lot of steps to cross. At each point, he destroyed his opponents and got public to view him favorably.
Leaders don't get selected for the diplomas and work experiences during the tough times. It is actually a disadvantage to have high pedigree and conventional backgrounds in those periods. In tough times, people go for unconventional Leaders as they believe that the conventional leaders failed to deliver. Thus, his lack of Degrees and strong professional career was not an impediment.
For instance, at the end of Vietnam war, oil crisis, Watergate and Iran refugee crisis in 1970s, US elected 2 unconventional leaders - Carter and Reagan - outsiders who were thought of as an antidote to the prevailing rot in Politics.
Hitler had that precise advantage. He was an outsider and he was mesmerizing. People wanted to believe what he said was right. Although he was an Austrian, he was always impressed of Germany, fought for Germany and many Germans didn't realize he was an Austrian.

1920 - Joined the NSDAP (Nazi) party and got mentored by Eckart. Got connections, funding and speech training.

Reading the Indictments written by special counsel Mueller and his team it is hard not to be impressed with just now many different crimes each person has been charged with. The Manafort and Gates indictments read like novellas, filled with plot twists, mystery and intrigue. The indictments against 12 Russian intelligence agents were incredibly detailed, showing Putin and his pals just how much U.S. intelligence agencies know — and can prove — about their nefarious activities.
It’s easy to get overwhelmed with the sheer volume of evidence and accusations, but according to the Washington Post there are 3 primary criminal acts that made Trump "President".
Hush money. The Government has set forth how the campaign finance violations occurred, and Cohen, as part of his plea deal, agreed to the Government’s description of what happened. The fact that David Pecker is cooperating with Prosecutors gives even more credibility to Cohen’s claims of how crimes were committed just before the 2016 Election. Pecker began helping Trump bury unfavorable stories in August of 2015, just after his bid for the Presidency was announced.
The first documented payment was in 2016 when $150,000 was paid to Karen McDougal. The payment was made with a commitment by Cohen to repay the money. This transaction was talked about in the recording released by Cohen and his Attorney last month.
Hacking. Last month, special counsel Mueller indicted 12 Russian military officers believed to work for the country’s Main Intelligence Directorate, or GRU. In other words, they are senior level Russian spies. These are the people who are thought to have illegally gained access to the Democratic National Committee (DNC) computer network. They are also charged with hacking into the email account of Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman, John Podesta.
In June of 2016 many files stolen by the hackers were given to WikiLeaks, which subsequently released to the public 2 groups of these documents stolen from the DNC and Podesta. Many crimes were committed during this process and Mueller’s indictments say that the Russians violated several Federal conspiracy and identity-theft laws.
Internet trolling. In February, Mueller’s team indicted another 13 Russians who worked for a shady company based in Moscow called the Internet Research Agency (IRA). This is the group that created phony social media accounts and used them extensively to create discord within the United States during the months preceding the 2016 Election. Several members of IRA came to the United States during the election campaign period. They hired Americans to cause trouble at campaign events.The actions taken by these people also violated identity-theft, fraud and conspiracy laws of the United States. And U.S. intelligence agencies have confirmed that all of these illegal activities had the goal of helping Trump become President.
Other crimes. There may have been additional crimes committed that helped Donald Trump become President. We still don’t know all the details of the meeting that took place in Trump Tower on June 9, 2016 between Trump campaign officials (Manafort, Kushner, and Don Jr.) and at least one Russian. Reportedly another meeting took place in advance of that meeting, including campaign officials and the candidate himself. Crimes may have been committed before, during and after these meetings.1 thing we know for sure is that Donald Trump "Won" the Presidency — in the Electoral College — by the narrowest of margins. Due to close wins in Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, fewer than 78,000 votes gave Trump the Presidency (0.06% of the  total votes cast).
We may never know if the crimes that occurred caused Hillary Clinton to lose those 3 States to Trump, but we do know that many crimes were committed for the express purpose of making Trump President — and it appears that the President himself has been implicated in them.
When all the evidence has been presented and verified it will become clear that Donald Trump is both a criminal and an illegitimate "President"! It’s been clear for as long as he’s been in the public eye, from when he was investigated by the Department of Justice for housing discrimination in the 1970s to when he demanded execution for 5 black and Latino teenagers who had been accused, falsely, of attacking and a raping a white woman in New York City in the 1980s.
The evidence for Trump’s racism is so abundant and explicit that the claim shouldn’t even be controversial. And yet, in the wake of the president’s recent comments, our most prominent news outlets are still hedging their bets. The New York Times called Trump’s remarks “the latest example of his penchant for racially tinged remarks denigrating immigrants.” The Washington Post, which broke the story, called the comments part of his “long-standing tendency to make racially charged remarks.” For the Wall Street Journal, the comments were merely “vulgar.”
This hesitation is not hard to understand. Our society is largely indifferent to racial inequality but is highly sensitive to accusations of racism. Labeling anything racist—or accusing anyone of racism—is fraught enough to spark a backlash, especially when it falls outside common archetypes for racism: the violent Neo-Nazi, corrupt Southern sheriff, or torch-bearing member of the Ku Klux Klan. Not only does Trump fall outside of the popular image of a racist, but he’s a partisan figure, backed by millions of people. Even if it fits the facts, frankly labeling the president a racist is a risky move, one that might alienate the people you’re trying to reach, including other Lawmakers and partisan political figures.
Beyond this, the attitudes and actions that constitute racism are highly contested, especially among white Americans most sensitive to the accusation. And when racism is acknowledged, it often comes sans actors and agency. Something racist may have happened, but no one is responsible. It’s racism without racists.

When ESPN analyst Jemele Hill criticized the DICTATOR as a “White Supremacist” on Twitter, she was met with a wave of opprobrium, including a statement from White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, who called it “one of the more outrageous comments that anyone could make and certainly something that I think is a fireable offense by ESPN.” Trump demanded an apology, and the network allegedly tried to take her off the air.
Major news outlets may be slow to label Trump’s racism as such, but the president’s allies seem to both acknowledge the racism and see it as a political asset. “Staffers inside the White House aren’t that worried about Trump’s ‘shithole’ remark,” reported CNN’s Kaitlan Collins on Twitter, “with some predicting it will actually resonate with his base, not alienate it, much like his attacks on NFL players who kneel during the national anthem did.”

Donald Trump has been described as a socially immature toddler and dishonest bully, yet he continues to be supported by a large segment of America. How can this contradiction be reconciled? Developmental science offers some insights into this apparent paradox.
As a psychologist studying bullying among youth, I find many parallels between Trump’s behaviors and our research findings. While a presidential candidate, Trump openly engaged in some typical bullying behaviors found among children and youth: name-calling and belittling of others. He targeted his Republican competitors (“little Marco”) as well as Democrats who criticized him (“crooked Hillary”). Although surveys indicate that people of all ages disapprove of bullying, his actions appeared to boost his popularity.
In a sense, this fits. Although bullies are never liked, they are popular in certain situations. Our research shows that bullies initially become “cool” during their first year in middle school. We think that this link between bullying and popularity is strengthened by the collective uncertainty associated with the transition to middle school. As youth are trying to acclimate to the new setting, many worry about their own social standing and ask: Where do I fit in? Who should I hang out with? When the future is uncertain, it is vital to know not only where one fits, but also who is in charge. Dominance hierarchies help group members find their places and form alliances, and bullying is among the most primitive ways to establish dominance.
At the time of the presidential election, insecurity about jobs and future finances were concerns of many Americans living in small towns and rural areas with few job opportunities. These were the places where Trump did well enough to win the election. One can speculate that by capitalizing on their social and economic uncertainties, Trump won the popularity contest despite often coming off as unlikable.
Our research on middle-schoolers also shows that the popularity of bullies wears off after the transition period. That is, after the first year in middle school, bullies’ popularity gradually decreases. According to the latest polls, Trump is still supported by most who voted for him — although some are changing their minds. The question is whether his popularity will hold when and whether voters begin to feel that their circumstances are more stable and less transitional.
Assuming that Trump knew how to capitalize on the uncertainties facing Americans to get elected, does that make him a strategic genius? His other behaviors cast doubt on such a conclusion — but they do fit the data on immature and aggressive children.
Trump is known for his tendency to deny his role in controversial events. He has denied, for example, asking FBI Director James B. Comey to drop the investigation of former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn; he has also denied ever having had dealings with Russian agents, and has angrily described probes into these matters as “a witch hunt.” While the nation is waiting to learn the truth about what Trump has or has not said and done, his stubborn denial reveals a lack of social reasoning typical of aggressive children.
Public accounts or explanations of negative events provide us with important insights about social-cognitive maturity. When a young child is Questioned whether he ate the last cookie (even when there are crumbs on his lips), the immature response is: “I didn’t do it.” Children deny the act before they learn that it is socially beneficial to admit the wrongdoing but deny any negative intent. Teens tend to become even more skillful and elaborate on various mitigating circumstances, such as not turning in their homework due to illness or because they were helping an ailing Grandmother. These accounts reduce the likelihood of punishment and facilitate forgiveness.
Not only does Trump flatly deny almost every accusation leveled against him, but he also claims no personal responsibility for problems. Instead he blames others, most recently the media and the White House staff. Refusal to accept personal responsibility and a tendency to blame others are indeed trademarks of aggressive children. In fact, our research shows that aggressive children are much Quicker to infer hostile intent in ambiguous situations and lash out in revenge. Blaming others is a self-enhancing defense mechanism: It protects positive self-views.
In addition to protecting his ego, Trump also tries to enhance his self-worth. What makes him look childlike are his unsubstantiated claims about his popularity. Despite the verifiable evidence, he repeatedly refers to his unprecedented Electoral College victory and the unmatched size of crowds at his CORONATION.
Trump’s use of self-enhancement tactics also helps explain why he feels he has been treated worse and more unfairly than any other "President" in history. Despite their (short-lived) popularity, most bullies are hypersensitive to negative feedback — and ironically feel mistreated.
Revealingly, in his interview with his Biographer Michael D’Antonio, Trump says he is the same person as he was in first grade. He may well also be very similar to the person he was in Middle School: Indeed, there are many parallels between Trump’s behavior and the facts and findings of developmental science on social reasoning and behavior. But if the pattern holds, he won’t remain popular for very long. He had plenty of opportunities during the Vietnam War to join the ranks of the heroes he claims to admire, starting when he turned 18 and first became eligible for the Draft in 1964. Instead he proceeded to obtain several student deferments over the next few years.

He has acknowledged in the past he sometimes feels “a little guilty” about not serving his country during Vietnam. There may be something more, however, behind his animosity toward war hero John McCain.

The daughters of a deceased New York doctor claimed last year their father gave Trump the bone-spur letter as a favor to Trump’s father, who was the Doctor’s Landlord. Now, in the wake of Trump’s latest rants, former U.S. Sen. Bob Kerrey - a Medal of Honor winner who lost part of his leg in Vietnam - is calling on Trump to share X-rays proving he actually had this condition.

Certain people had a problem with Bill Clinton for his efforts to avoid Military Service during Vietnam, but ultimately both he and Trump simply took advantage of opportunities available to them. McCain volunteered to serve his country as a naval aviator, then he volunteered to serve in combat in Vietnam. He was tortured and placed in solitary confinement during his time as a prisoner of war from 1967 to 1973.

Trump, between those same years, worked for his dad’s multi-million-dollar real estate business, and in 1971 his dad promoted him to President. You could say McCain, the son and grandson of four-star Navy Admirals, also followed into the family business, but didn’t get quite the same perks.

If anything, Trump should have been thanking McCain these past 4 decades for serving the country so pampered sons of privilege like himself could enjoy the soft comforts of Home. Or as Republican Sen. Johnny Isakson said this week, “Nothing is more important than the integrity of the Country and those who fought and risked their lives for all of us.”

Instead, Trump has been rather ungracious toward the dead Senator.

His 2015 claim McCain was “a war hero because he was captured - I like people who weren’t captured” was the moment I realized just how unfit Trump was to serve as Commander In Chief. Not only because he was stupid enough to say it, but because he lacked the grace to apologize.

His obsession has only escalated over time, and I have no doubt the near-beatification bestowed on the battle-scarred old warrior after his passing last year absolutely drove Trump nuts. And with his rambling comments over the past week, Baby Huey seems just about ready to enter Looney Town.

Trump even attempted to take credit for a veterans’ health bill sponsored by McCain and signed into Law by Obama 2 years before Trump was Appointed DICTATOR.

McCain’s daughter Meaghan is dead-on when she describes her dad as Trump’s “kryptonite,” saying McCain is in Trump’s head because the reality TV host is very much aware he doesn’t measure up. But no one loves veterans more than a callous Politician who never donned the uniform himself, and Trump has made a point of literally wrapping himself in the American flag at every opportunity. He praises the Military in public - as long as he isn’t challenged. Then he has no reservations trying to demean men whose boots he couldn’t carry.

For his part, although he was far more erudite about it, McCain didn’t have much love for Trump. It’s pretty clear who he meant when he famously mocked spoiled rich boys who “found a Doctor that would say that they had a bone spur. That is wrong. If we’re going to ask every American to serve, every American should serve.”

Trump is trying to trash McCain’s Legacy for the Senator’s role in providing the notorious “Steele Dossier” to the FBI. Frankly, I’m not sure what else McCain could have done with this information. If he hadn’t passed it on he would have been accused of a cover-up.

McCain certainly made no secret about it, describing the episode in his excellent last book, “The Restless Wave.” With the typical candor I always loved about the guy, McCain wrote he would do it again and added, “Anyone who doesn’t like it can go to hell.”

What Trump still fails to understand is McCain was a hero because he went into harm’s way in the first place - not because he had to, but because he thought his country was worth the sacrifice. He’s a hero because he endured a hell most of us can’t imagine, and somehow returned home a stronger man.

And personally, I like people who have the guts to join the fight in the first place. Now I may Not Change any Minds as far as Getting this DICTATOR Removed from the White House in November of 2020 or Sooner; but fuck it! Alright!
